    Abstract: 乳酸菌因其益生菌(probiotics)特性,且應用廣泛,早已是食品界的研究主題,加上保健食品在國內日益受到重視,因而更加引發大眾對乳酸菌的興趣。長期服用抗生素用來對抗病原菌,對於患者還是會造成生理上的副作用,且近年來發現許多菌株皆具有抗藥性。本系微生物團隊多年收集很多乳酸菌種,同時也從事乳酸菌研究及功能開發,瞭解乳酸菌對人類健康的功能。因此,擬將一些對人體有益之乳酸菌研究其改善腸胃道及對造成胃癌之一的幽門桿菌之抑制作用,製成乳酸菌抑菌產品。
