    Abstract: 本研究初步探討芝麻種皮對低密度脂蛋白氧化及巨噬細胞一氧化氮合成酵素( inducible nitric oxide synthase; iNOS) 表現之影響。芝麻種皮在0.1~0.8 mg/ml可以有效減少低密度脂蛋白氧化。另外,芝麻種皮不但可以捕捉一氧化氮自由基,也可以降低脂多醣(Lipopolysaccharide; LPS)對巨噬細胞株RAW 264.7誘發iNOS及COX-2蛋白表現。另外,芝麻種皮也可以有效減少iNOS及COX-2 mRNA表現。
    The effects of ethanolic extracts of sesame coat on low-density lipoprotein oxidation and macrophage inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression were investigated. At 0.1~0.8 mg/ml, the ethanolic extracts of sesame coat showed a protective role on low-density lipoprotein oxidation. Furthermore, the ethanolic extracts of sesame coat not only scavenged nitric oxide but also inhibited iNOS and cyclooxygenase-2 protein expression in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages. On the other hand, the ethanolic extracts of sesame coat also displayed obviously inhibitiory effects on iNOS and cyclooxygenase-2 mRNA expression.
