Male pattern hair loss present study suggests that 95% of the patients are androgenetic alopecia, 5 alpha reductase (5 alpha-reductase) for catalytic Testosterone reaction, making one testis hormone into a more with effects of male hormone dihydrotestosterone, causing symptoms of male baldness. The 5alpha 1 significantly in the sebaceous glands, 5 alpha 2 significantly in the scalp hair follicles.
This study can be divided into three parts (Ⅰ) assess the number of cells in different concentrations and different time point of view 14C-testosterone (14C-T) by the 5 alpha reductase converted to 14C-dihydrotestosterone (14C-DHT) activity analysis, (Ⅱ) investigate the 5 alpha reductase inhibition effect of natural product extract by the optimum condition from (Ⅰ) , (Ⅲ)evaluate the hair growth effect of the natural product extract selected from (Ⅱ) by C57BL/6 mice experiment.
