Abstract:	南仁湖(Lake Nanren)位於台灣最南端的恆春半島東側之南仁山區內，為台灣熱帶低海拔湖泊與沼澤的生態體系。南仁湖又分成中央水域、獨立南仁湖，以及宜蘭潭（或稱南仁古湖），由於南仁山森林落葉量大，大量落業長期沖積至水域，使水域中腐植質含量相當高。本研究乃藉由一般光學顯微鏡及掃描式電子顯微鏡探討南仁湖之大宜蘭潭、小宜蘭潭、中央水域及假古湖等水域之植棲性矽藻之生物多樣性及其生態特性，共發現11 屬16 種矽藻，主要為喜偏酸性之矽藻，其中菱形肋縫藻(Frustulia rhomboides (Ehr.) De Toni)、橋彎藻屬(Cymbella)、短縫藻屬(Eunotia)及舟形藻屬(Navicula)等屬之矽藻，為南仁湖區域最顯著之矽藻。
