    Abstract: 中藥白芍(Paeonia lactiflora Pall.)及赤芍(Paeonia veithii Lynch)之乾燥根部進行有效成分分離及其在化妝品方面之生物活性試驗,實驗進行是根據在化妝品之生物活性指標純化分離有效成分,並配合各種光譜分析,加以證明及確認其化學結構式。從白芍中得到具有掃除DPPH自由基的化合物Gallic acid (1)、Ethyl gallate (2)和Methyl gallate (3),具有抑制酪氨酸酶活性的化合物Ethyl gallate (2)和Methyl gallate (3)。化合物2和3抑制酪氨酸酶活性機制上均屬於競爭性的抑制作用。
    從赤芍得到具有掃除DPPH自由基的化合物Gallic acid (1)、Ethyl gallate (2)、Methyl gallate (3)、3, 3'-Di-O-methylellagic acid (6)和4, 3'-Di-O-methylellagic acid (7),具有抑制酪氨酸酶活性的化合物Ethyl gallate (2)、Methyl gallate (3)、Benzoic acid (4)、p-Hydroxybenzoic acid (5)和Paeoniflorin (8),抑制酪氨酸酶活性機制上化合物8是屬於非競爭性的抑制作用,其他化合物2、3、4和5皆屬競爭性的抑制作用。化合物6和7首次自赤芍中分離得到,且首次發現具有掃除DPPH自由基作用。
    The tradition Chinese medicine “Baishao” (roots of Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) and “Chishao” (roots of Paeonia veitchii Lynch) has been described to possess cosmetic bioactivities. The bioassay guided purification to get eight compounds. From “Baishao” was isolated three compounds, Gallic acid (1), Ethyl gallate (2) and Methyl gallate (3) show DPPH scavenging activity and Ethyl gallate (2) and Methyl gallate (3) inhibit tyrosinase activity. In the kinetic analysis, all the tyrosinase inhibitors were confirmed to inhibit mushroom tyrosinase with competitive manner.
    From “Chishao” was isolated compounds, Gallic acid (1), Ethyl gallate (2), Methyl gallate (3), 3, 3'-Di-O-methylellagic acid (6) and 4, 3'-Di-O-methylellagic acid (7) show DPPH scavenging activity and Ethyl gallate (2), Methyl gallate (3), Benzoic acid (4), p-Hydroxybenzoic acid (5) and Paeoniflorin (8) inhibit tyrosinase activity. In the kinetic analysis, compound 8 was confirmed to inhibit mushroom tyrosinase with noncompetitive manner. Compounds 2, 3, 4 and 5 were confirmed to inhibit mushroom tyrosinase with competitive manner. Among the purified compounds 6 and 7 were separated for the first from Chishao and were first identified with scavenging DPPH activity .
