    Title: 保健食品用於舒緩睡眠障礙成效之研究
    A study on the effect of health foods to relieve sleep disorders
    睡眠最主要的功能是恢復個人白天活動後所損耗的體能,並調整和重組人的情緒行為和認知記憶。一般成年人平均睡眠時間約7至8個小時。「睡眠障礙」是一個常見的疾病,在歐美,18歲以上人口有1/3罹患此問題;在台灣,慢性失眠盛行率也高達15%。我們可以將這類疾病概分為兩種,一種是睡眠過多(嗜睡),一種是睡眠過少(失眠),各有其引發的病因,必須針對這些病因給予適當治療,才能根本解決睡眠問題。 隨著台灣人口結構日益趨向中高齡化社會,人口老化問題也帶動文明病的產生,伴隨消費者健康意?抬頭、飲食習慣不再以溫飽及美味為主,更進而要求調節人體、維持生命活動,視為食品的第三機能,在減少使用人工合成物的風潮下,標榜天然的保健食品在市場上大受歡迎。 保健食品指的是「含有特定成分,能調節生?機能,可發揮保健功效之食品。」可以是食品加工的成品,或者是其素材原料,但「?包含初級農產品等原?」之食品。 本研究冀望了解一般民眾遇有睡眠障礙問題時,是否有食用保健食品,再進一步分析與研究,探討保健食品對於改善睡眠品質之成效,研究結果將提供民眾未來克服睡眠障礙之參考。
    The main function of sleep is to restore the physical energy lost after daytime activities, and to adjust and recombine the emotional behavior and cognitive memory of a person. The average adult sleeps about 7 to 8 hours. Sleep disorder is a common disease, with one-third of people over the age of 18 suffer from the problem in Europe and the United States. The prevalence of chronic insomnia is as high as 15% in Taiwan. We can divide these diseases into two kinds, one is too much sleep (sleepiness), and the other is too little sleep (insomnia), each of which has its own causes. It is necessary to give proper treatment to these causes in order to fundamentally solve the problem of sleep. With The increasing trend of Taiwan's population structure towards the aging society, the problem of aging population has also led to the emergence of civilized diseases. With the consumer’s health awareness, eating habits are no longer to feed and delicious, and more requires regulation of the human body, maintenance of life activities, as a third function of food. In reducing the use of synthetic materials, advertising natural health food in the market popular. Health food refers to ";food that contains specific ingredients that regulate physiological function and can play a health effect.";It can be a food processed product or its raw materials, but does not contain raw materials such as primary agricultural products. This study hopes to understand whether the general public has sleep disorders, whether to eat health food. Further analysis and research will be conducted to discuss the effectiveness of health foods in improving sleep quality. The results of the research will provide the public to overcome sleep disorders in the future.
