The Correlation between Occupational Burnout and Job Stress for Intensive Care Units Nurses

Acquisition T-test, ANOVA test, Pearson correlation analysis, were used to explore the relationship between intensive care unit nurses in burnout and job stress. The study found that burnout with age, seniority, hours of duty and work unit have significantly related. Job stress has significantly related with job grade. Job stress and burnout are not significantly correlated. It is recommended that institutions should strengthen professional education and training, arrange the progressive clinical care and the relaxation channel to reduce job stress and burnout, and reduce turnover intention.
