The Explore of Healthy Lifestyle and LOHAS of Middle-aged and Elderly -Taking Yunlin area as an Example
Purpose: Population aging is a global trend, and Taiwan’s elderly population ranks third in Asia. It is estimated that it will enter an aging society in 2025. It can be seen that ";aging";is a new challenge that countries are facing urgently. The purpose of this study is to understand the correlation between the healthy lifestyle of middle-aged and elderly and the degree of LOHAS, and to explore the predictors that affect LOHAS.Method: This study used a self-made structural questionnaire to investigate, taking middle-aged and elderly people in Yunlin as the research object, a total of 450 questionnaires were sent, and the effective questionnaire reached 92%. The questionnaire includes: 1. LOHAS (four factors of self growth, health promotion, interpersonal interaction and environmental sustainability). Use SPSS 21.0 software package to analyze data. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics and t test, linear regression, ANOVA analysis and Pearson correlation.Result: The main findings are as follows: 1. Healthy lifestyle and LOHAS have significant correlation with age, education, health status, healthy diet, regular exercise, economic sources and chronic diseases (p <0.05) 2. There is no significant difference in the degree of LOHAS and healthy lifestyle between gender, marriage, living status and retirement status. 3. There is a significant positive correlation between the healthy lifestyle and the degree of LOHAS. The more positive of healthy life is, the higher of the degree of LOHAS 4. Health responsibility, spiritual growth, interpersonal relationships, and nutritional behavior are important factors in predicting the degree of LOHAS, with an explanatory ability of 46.2%.Suggestion: The results of this study can provide the government or relevant units as a reference for planning social strategies, and can pay more attention to the health and well-being of middle-aged and elderly people and improve their quality of life.
