本發明系關於一種大黃(Rheum officinale)萃取物及其用於製備抑制皮屑芽孢菌(Malasseziafurfur)生物膜組成物之用途，大黃萃取物製備方法包含：以乙醇萃取大黃材料，獲得乙醇提取物；以乙酸乙酯/水溶液萃取乙醇提取物，獲得一乙酸乙酯相與一水相，其中乙酸乙酯相包含大黃萃取物；大黃萃取物含有多酚，以一有效劑量之大黃萃取物施予一個體，可抑制皮屑芽孢菌生長以及生物膜形成；藉此，本發明具有改善皮屑芽孢菌引起之皮膚問題的功效。 The present invention discloses aRheum officinaleextract and its use for manufacturing compositions for inhibiting biofilm formation ofMalasseziafurfur. TheRheum officinaleextract is prepared by the steps of extracting aRheum officinalematerial by ethanol to obtain an ethanol extract; and extracting the ethanol extract by an ethyl acetate/ water solution to obtain an ethyl acetate extract and a water extract, wherein the ethyl acetate extractcontains theRheum officinaleextract having polyphenols. An effective dose of theRheum officinaleextract is applied to a subject in need for inhibiting growth and biofilm formation ofMalassezia furfur. Accordingly, the present invention has efficacy of improving skin conditions caused byMalasseziafurfur.
