    摘要: The purpose of this study is to discuss the degree of differences in the aspects of safety culture between different employee backgrounds by studying and analyzing the individual cases of safety culture. Through data collection and analysis, the key to the degree of difference might be found, and the policy to improve the safety culture of the organization is purposed.
    A sampling was taken from the employees in Kaohsiung Port Branch of Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Ltd. Ten aspects were discussed, which were: Safety Commitment, Security System, Safety Leadership, Safe Environment, Safety Attitude, Safety Ability, Safety Involvement, Safety Training, Safety Communication, and Safety Inspiration. The conclusions are as follows:
    1. This company has reached a certain level in safety culture. The employees have higher recognition in terms of Safety Attitude and Safe Involvement, but the average scores in Safe Communication and Safety Inspiration are lower than other dimensions. It shows there is room for improvement and effort in the two dimensions.
    2. As for the employees with different backgrounds to the difference of safety culture, there exists the biggest difference between positions and education levels. There isn’t significantly positive correlated in other variables.
    3. Employees gave “satisfactory” answers to the safety and health satisfaction of their work environment. It is 62.57% which is the maximum. It indicates that employees currently recognize the safety and health satisfaction of their work environment.
    4. At present, the employees generally agree with low-level risks on the self-assessment risk of their work environment. It indicates that the company has reached a certain level in risk management.
    5. There is no significant difference in the safety culture between the case officers and the managers, and there is no significant difference in the overall safety culture. It indicates that they have the same view on safety culture.
