Abstract: Agricultural wastes (AW) such as rice straw, bamboo, longan, orange were collected from Taiwan in September and December 2016. Measurement of agricultural wastes is conducted in the uncontrolled chamber. This study provides the particulate matter (PM) and chemical compositions emitted from various agricultural waste burning smokes. Most emission factors of agricultural wastes are in PM2.5 (13.193±3.14 g kg-1dry rice straw, 4.452±0.94 g kg-1dry bamboo, 2.293±1.53 g kg-1dry longan, 0.217 g kg-1dry orange) rather than in PM>2.5 (0.435±0.363 g kg-1dry rice straw, 0.149±0.014 g kg-1dry bamboo, 0.713±0.622 g kg-1dry longan, 0.551 g kg-1dry orange), except orange. In water-soluble ions, all of the four types of agricultural waste have the main ions chloride, potassium, sulfate (Cl-, K+, SO42-) and ammonium (NH4+) as the PM2.5. Total water-soluble ions show rice straw (4525.29±2041.16 mg kg-1-AW)> longan (1185.57±402.40 mg kg-1-AW)> bamboo (261.084±17.41mg kg-1-AW)> orange (115.91 mg kg-1-AW), which shows the types of agricultural wastes have significant effect on water-soluble ions emission factors. Levoglucosan was the most abundant composition and indicated as a marker for agricultural wastes burning. K+ was the most dominant inorganic salts in agricultural wastes burning and used as a marker for identify agricultural wastes burning.
