A biflavonoid, sikokianin B, was isolatedfrom the roots of Wikstroemia taiwanensis via scilica gel column, reverse-phase MPLC and HPLC.
The structure of sikokianin B was elucidated by spectroscopic analysis. And it showed antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis with MIC values of 15 μg/mL.
