在台灣蕘花的根部中我們目前發現有三個化合物,這些化合物經由光譜分析後分別為shikokianin B(1), pinoresinol (2), and wikstromol (3),其中shikokianin B 是已經有文獻指出其化合物有抗結核的藥理活性,而且wikstormol 也在文獻上指出其化合物具有抗白血病的藥理活性, pinoresinol 目前在文獻則是指出他有抗癌症的藥理活性,因此相信在台灣蕘花的根部應該還能找到一些特別的化合物,希望在未來的研究上能夠找到更多具有藥理活性的化合物。 Three compounds, shikokianin B (1), pinoresinol (2), and wikstromol (3), were isolated from the roots of Wikstroemia taiwanensis (Thymelaeaceae). Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis. Shikokianin B (1) showed antitubercular acitivity, pinoresinol (2)showed anticancer, and wikstormol (3) was reported to show antileukemic activity
