西元 1895 年「大日本武德會」在日本京都成立,其結合神道信仰、柔道、 劍道、弓道及其相關附屬活動所需空間,發展出全新武道場建築形態,即為所謂 「武德殿」建築。同年台灣遭清廷割讓成為日本殖民地,大日本武德會隨著警察 體系引入台灣,成為日本武道文化在台發展的先鋒,總計台灣日治五十年間約略 發展出四百棟以上的各式武道場建築。 1997 年陳信安的碩士論文《台灣日治時期武德殿建築之研究》是國內第一 本探討日本武道文化建築的專門著述,也是迄今唯一的一本武德殿建築專門論述, 該著述亦成為後續國內進行古蹟指定、歷史建築登錄、以及相關武道文化研究之 主要參考文獻。迄至 2012年為止,台灣現存的武道場建築已有 6處指定為古蹟, 10處登錄為歷史建築。 本研究係以「台灣地區的日治時期武道場建築」為對象,除大日本武德會 武德殿與監獄演武場以外,亦含括其他各體系所屬武道場建築;蒐集史料文獻加 以解讀,並藉由 GIS 與 GPS 的輔助,實地進行田野調查,建置研究對象的基礎 資料。以翔實之考證為基礎,結合相關日本風情空間景點,聚焦形塑日治時期武 道文化空間場域。期能結合「文化」與「觀光」,透過「文化觀光」的操作模式, 建構兼具觀光吸引力與文化資產教育性的武道文化場域深度導覽環境。 In 1895, Great Japanese Butokukai ( The Association of Great Japanese Martial Moral Art ) which combined Shinto faith, judo, kendo and archery with its related ancillary necessary activity space was established in Kyoto, Japan. Then, it was developed as new Budojo architectural form which was namely so-called Butokuden building. In the same year, Taiwan was ceded by the Qing government to become a colony of Japan and Great Japanese Butokukai with the police system was introduced to Taiwan as Japanese Budojo development pioneer. During the five decades of Japanese rule in Taiwan, there have been more than four hundred various Budojo constructions in total. “The Study on the Architecture of Martial Moral Art(Butokuden) in Taiwan During the Japanese-Colonization” by Hsin-an Chen is the first specialized writing to explore Japanese martial moral art culture and so far the only Butokuden devoted writing which also becomes the subsequent domestic specified research references as a variety of Budojo monuments, historic buildings as well as related Budojo being conducted. Up to 2012, six of the existing Budojo constructions in Taiwan have been designated as monuments and ten contructions have been registered as a historic buildings. This study is based on "The Study on the Architecture of Martial Moral Art (Butokuden)in Taiwan During the Japanese-Colonization"as an object. In addition to Great Japanese Butokukai Budojo and prison Budojo, it also encompasses Budojo architecture belonging to other systems, collects historical documents to read and conducts the field study with GIS and GPS auxiliary for building the basis of information of the study object. Combining textual informative research with relevant Japanese style space attractions, it focuses on shaping the Japanese-Colonization Budojo cultural space field. The research is expected to combine "culture" with "tourism" and through "Cultureal Tourism" operating mode, construct Budojo cultural field deep navigation environment of both a tourist attraction and cultural educational assets .
