The food preference and color preference of the house fly were investigated in the laboratory and field. Several different carbohydrates and proteins were tested in liquid formulations. Multiple choice assays were performed on house fly to evaluate specific food preferences. The olfactometers were observed that the housefly preferred TSC NO. II sugar and beef peptone powder significantly. The significantly preferred TSC NO. II sugar compared with dark molasses, brown sugar and white sugar solution at a concentration of 40%. The significant preference concentration of sucrose solution is 50%. Three series of Tween 20 solution concentration were prepared using a 50% sucrose solution compared trapping rate that seemed to no affect the food preferences of the house fly. The results indicated a significant preference for beef peptone solution at a concentration of 10% compared with chicken peptone and elvers powder and the most significant preferences for house fly was the mixture of beef peptone and elvers powder. The best mix ratio of beef peptone and elvers powder was 5:5 with 50% sucrose solution. Three series of ethanol solution concentration were prepared using a 50% sucrose solution with 5% beef peptone and 5% elvers powder compared trapping rate. The trapping rate seemed to increase affect the food preferences of the house fly. The trapping rates of food lures prepared in 0-2 days were significant higher than in 3days fermented commercially available fish meal. The housefly preferred white fly trap was the same result as using colors fly counting grill for house fly. The white house fly trap with food lures and water, respectively, for the housefly preference test, showed food lures will be added to increase the attractant effect of housefly. The field trials results the control rate average of 77.08-95.86%. The findings may provide more enticing attractant bait in the future to development more strength and efficiency food lures and color trapping device.
