人體過多自由基會造成健康問題,例如糖尿病、自體免疫、老化、癌症、心臟病。會造成疾病原因是因為自由基形成之氧化壓力會造成對細胞組成分子傷害,如脂肪、蛋白質/酵素、遺傳物質(DNA/RNA)。許多文獻報告抗氧化化合物能中止自由基反應而避免氧化壓力之傷害。為了尋找抗老化/抗氧化之植物,以DPPH 作抗氧化篩選試驗發現龍眼、荔枝及芒果有明顯之抗氧化作用。因此,本計劃目的是藉助一系列抗氧化試驗找出他們的有效成分並鑑定其化學結構。 The excess production of free radicals are responsible for causing a number of health problems, such as, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, aging, cancer, heart disease, through oxidative stress that mediates damage to lipids, protein, enzyme, DNA/RNA. Many papers report that plants with antioxidant properties are capable to terminate free radical reaction and prevent our body from oxidative damage. In order to search for anti-aging plants with antioxidant activities, Logan, Litchi and Mango were shown to have obvious antioxidant activities based on the preliminary DPPH test. Therefore, the purposes of this proposal focus on the isolation and identification of active compounds through a serious of chemical assay.
