    摘要: 現今科技產業發展快速,氨是一個非常普遍的問題,若廢污水當中之高濃度氨氮,未妥善的處理將會造成許多環境問題,如優養化等。本研究利用掃流式薄膜接觸系統(Membrane contactor,MC)以離子交換之方式處理高濃度氨氮廢水去除水溶液中NH4+,進料端以氯化銨水溶液為模擬實廠廢水,萃取液為硫酸水溶液,操作變因為膜接觸面積、薄膜材質、進料端pH值、進料端濃度、進料端溫度、進料端水力停留時間、滲透端萃取液濃度、滲透端流速變化等之影響,評估去除NH4+之最佳操作條件。
    本研究使用模組I及模組II來作為實驗之模組,掃流式模組I膜接觸面積4.0 cm*7.0 cm,沉浸式模組II膜接觸面積8.8 cm*15 cm*2,研究結果MC模組I、II及模組II之連續顯示,薄膜接觸系統於掃流式模組I使用PTFE膜,在氯化銨水溶液pH值為11時,操作300分鐘NH4+初始濃度從851.2 mg/L下降至340.4 mg/L,去除率60.01 %,效果最佳;以PVDF膜高分子濃度為12 wt%之薄膜,NH4+初始濃度從799.8 mg/L下降至175.7 mg/L,去除率達78.03 %;而MC系統在沉浸式模組II以PTFE膜,在硫酸濃度為0.4 M,pH值11、溫度32 ℃之進料端溶液,NH4+初始濃度800 mg/L,在210分鐘去除率可達100 %;而MC系統在模組II連續操作之下,PTFE薄膜在操作24次共288 hr之連續試驗,NH4+之去除率依然可達到100 %,每公升之0.4M硫酸萃取液可萃取90.72 g之NH4+。由此可知薄膜之耐久度良好,只需換其硫酸萃取液,膜適合連續操作。
    High-tech industries have been rapidly developing for the last two decades in Taiwan, which also results in high concentrations of various nitrogenous compounds in the wastewater, such as eutrophication.
    Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membranes with asymmetric structures and good hydrophobicity have been prepared by a phase-inversion method and applied for removal of ammonia from water by membrane contactor. Aqueous solution containing sulfuric acid was used as stripping solution to accelerate the removal of ammonia.
    This study investigated the preparation and application in the membrane contactor of porous and hydrophobic PVDF membranes. PVDF membranes with different porous structures were prepared by immersion-precipitation of a casting solution in coagulation baths composed of N-methyl pyrrolidinone (NMP) and water (nonsolvent). SEM and contact angle analyzer were used to characterize the membranes.
    The simulated wastewater, aqueous ammonium chloride solution with a pH value of 9-11, was pumped into two kinds of membrane contactor modules while the stripping solution, 0.2-0.4 M aqueous sulfuric acid solution was countercurrently fed into the other side of the membrane contactor module. Membrane’s area of module I and II were 4.0 x 7.0 cm2 and 8.8 x 15 cm2.
    It was found that the investigation of membrane contactor by module I revealed that the NH4+ removal of PTFE and PVDF (12 wt%) was 60.01% and 78.03%. After 24 runs and 288 hr continuous operation, NH4+ removal was still kept 100%. PTFE membrane presented good durability. Furthermore, per liter of sulfuric acid, 90.72 g NH4+ was extracted by module II with PTFE membrane. Therefore, membrane contact system had great potential for future applications in wastewater treatment with high strength of ammonium.
