Six crystalline compounds were isolated from the whole plant of Hypericum pseudopetiodatum R. Keller (Guttiferae). They were identified on the basis of chemical and physicaJ methods to have the structures of quercetin, quercitrin, 1,3,5,6-tetrahydroxyxanthone, vanillic acid, phytosterols and their glucosides, respectively. It is of great significance in the chemotaxonomy of Hypericum genus that quercetin derivatives are the major components of this plant.
