Several metals contents of 103 commercial products of soybean, rice and goat milks which were obtained from Tainan area during July and September in 1989 were analyzed by Portable Digital Voltammeter (PDV-2000)-
TJze results showed that the range of lead, copper, zinc, cadmium, antimony and thaUium contents in samples tested were 0.05-0.28, 0.53-0.98, 0.90-1.93, N. D.,0.28-1.60 and 0.35-0.80 ppm respectively for soybean milk, 0.03-0.25, 0.10-0.60, 0.58-2.03, N. D., 0.10-0.20 and 0.38-0.58 ppm respectively for rice mdk, 0.03-0.20, 0.25-0.88, 1.03-4.75, N. D.,0.05-0.88 and 0.43-1.15 ppm respectively for goat milk.
The allowable maximum amount of hazardous ynetals in samPles tested have not been dctermined yet by Department of Health. Therefore, these results might be provided as valuable references for Health Department to establish the sanitation standard of milk foods.
