    Abstract: UV mutagenesis of Schwanniomyces occidentalis CCRC 21164 and CCRC 21167 resulted in isolation of 21 amino acid auxotrophs. Six of them were proved as stable mutants. One of which, S. occidentalis 64901, was transformed with YEp620 by spheroplast method and the transformation frequency could reach 23.4%.
    本實驗利用UV突變Schwanniomyces occidentalis CCRC 21164及CCRC 21167,共篩選出21株氨基酸營養變異株,選取其中6株穩定突變株並以YEp620進行轉形,發現其中S. occidentalis 64901營養變異株可被YEp620轉形,轉形頻率可達23.4%。
