The morphology of composite polymer particles plays an important role in polymeric material. The performance of polymer particles can be improved by means of specificfjc polymer morphology. Therefore, the applications of composite polymer particles are very popular. In this study, we used butyl acrylate as a monomer and CHP-EDTA-Fe(II)-SFS as an intiator to prepare seecL latex by mini-emulsion polymerization. Then the seed latex and styrene were polymerized to obtain composite polymer particles in the suspension polymerization. The morphology of the obtained particles was characterized by transmission electron microscope, laser scattering spectrophotometer and differential thermal analyzer. lt appeared that the morphology of particles is the core and shell structure.
