吸菸會危害身體的健康與造成社會經濟的損失以在許多研究中獲證實。由於吸菸年齡層有愈來愈下降的趨勢,因此青少年吸菸問題特別值得關切。青少年階段被認為是最容易開始吸菸與養成吸菸習慣的關鍵時期,但同時也被認為是戒除吸菸習慣的最佳教育時期;若此時能實施預防吸菸與戒菸的衛生教育,教導青少年對於菸害的認知,建立戒菸的正確態度,並提供戒菸的方法與技巧,應可有效地降低青少年的吸菸率。本研究以某學院申請吸菸卡及導師轉介的學生為樣本,成立戒菸研習班,施以四次的戒菸教育(戒菸對身體的壞處、如何克服同儕的影響、如何戒菸、不適感策略各)。研究的主要目的在於比較學員在參加課程前後對於菸害及戒菸方法的認知、吸菸及戒菸態度、戒菸意圖與吸菸衍為是否產生改變,藉以評估此戒菸教育介入之成效。研究結果顯示教育介入後學員們參加戒菸班之意願增強,且對於戒菸容易與否的看法改變,對於菸害與戒菸方法的知識有顯著增加,對於菸害認同態度較為正向且戒菸動機較為增強。因此,戒菸教育介入有顯著效果,值得各校參考與推廣。 Physical and socioeconomic damages of cigarette smoking have been confirmed in many studies. Because the age of smoking is decreasing, problems of smoking among adolescents are getting more serious, Adolescence is not only a critical period to start and to build smoking behaviors, but also an appropriate time to be educated how to quit smoking behaviors. The smoking rate in adoles-cents will decrease eftectually. If a preventive education of smoking behavior provides knowledge of cigarette health damage, positive attitudes and methods to quit smoklng.Samples of this study were students who applied for requisition of smoking permission or referred by tutors. A smoking cessation program was practiced for these students. Contents of program include physical benefits oT quitting smoking, conquest of negative influence from peer groups, methods to quit smoking, and strategies of conquering illness in the period of smoking cessation. The purposes of this study were to compare students' knowledge, attitudes, and intentions towards quitting smoke before and atter amoking cessation program, and to evaluate the effectivencess of this program. Results of this study showed that students' intentions to quit smoking habit are increased, students' feelings to quit smoking are easier, knowledge scores are higher,attitudes towards cigarette damage are more positive, and motivations to quit smoking are also increased after attending smoking cessation program. Therefore, the effectiveness of intervention education in smoking cessation program is significant.
