A HPLC method was developed to separate racemic mixtures of chlorinated cinnamic acids in this study. The cis-isomers obtained by this method were confirmed and characterized by using GC-mass,and one dimensional proton NMR. It was found the reslting data from mass pattern,and the J(coupling constant) for the differences between cis-and trans-chlorinated cinnamic acids can be used as an additional and important index for distinguishing the cis-isomers from the trans-isomers. The obtained cis-isomers by the HPLC method are in the pure acld form. When compared with the cis-isomers (sodium salt) obtained by the ion-exchange chromatography method, the present HPLC method Is proved to be simpler, better, and much more precise. 本研究以一種新式高效液相層析法來分離順式及逆式的帶氯肉桂酸的同分異構物,由此實驗所得到之順式同分異構物並以氣相質譜儀及一度空間的質子核磁共振光譜來近一步的做確認分析。由氣相質譜儀及一度空間的質子核磁共振光譜的數據顯示,順式及逆式的帶氯肉桂酸的質譜及J (對位系數)並不同,因此可以被用於判定此兩個同分異構物之依據。另外,此實驗所得到之順式同分異構物為純酸,而早期用離子交換樹脂法所得到之順式帶氯肉桂酸為鈉鹽。因此與用於分離順式及逆式的帶氯肉桂酸的同分異構物的舊的離子交換樹脂法比較,此一新的高效液相層析法更為簡單、快速及精確。
