當玄學家把抽象的名理變成清談的課題時,言意之辨就成了主要的論題。王弼結合《周易‧繫辭》的“言不盡意”和《莊子‧外物》的“得意忘言”之說,首倡“言意之辨”的論題,雖是為了解《易》,卻開創了一套有系統的玄學理論,對當時及後世都產生了不少影響。然而“言”究竟能不能盡“意”?這牽涉到幾個問題,首先是王弼的學術淵源何在?其次是王弼的“意”究竟為何?再則是王弼是如何解決“言意”之間的困境?最後是他的論述又如何建構一套玄學方法論?這些都將與儒釋道的形上義理有著深厚的關係,本文就從這幾個問題來說明王弼“言意之辨”的思想體系。 “The Distinction of Language (Yen) and Significance (Yi )”became the main theme while abstract forming trunk stream in Wei-chin dynasty. For the reason to noting The Change of Book, but he Built and constructed a systematic metaphysics theory. He had been exerting his influence at that time and in later age. But could "meaning" bests on earth in "characters"? This involves several questions that I should study. The first one is “What is the academic origin of Wang Pi?” The second is “What is the meaning of Wang Bi”. The third is “How Wang Bi solves the predicament between the characters and the meaning” Finally is “How his argumentation builds and constructs a set of metaphysics methodology” All these clear up relation with the Metaphysics of Confucianism、Taoist school and Buddhism.
