    Abstract: 成人教育可說是成人之再社會化之主要途徑,其透由社會機構運作,以集體之方式實施,而期能促進個人社經地位之提昇及社會之發展。本文係從社會學之觀點,探討成人教育之理念及相關問題。全文包括五個主要部份:(一)成人教育之理念和定位;(二)現代社會之特性對成人教育之影響;(三)成人教育之社會學概念;(四)成人教育之社會功能;(五)社會學與成人教育之問題。
    Adult Education is briefed to be “A.E” Adult Education is the main way of adults’ resocialization. It proceeded by way of the social organizations and practiced by the mass of the people.
    The last goal of A.E is to promote one’s social and economic position and attain the purpose of the social development. In this article, we use the Sociological views and concepts to explore the belief and problems of A. E.. It includes five main parts: 1.The belief and position of A.E. 2.The influence of A.E. is due to the characteristics of the modern society. 3.The Sociological concepts of A.E. 4.The social functions of A.E. 5.Sociology and the problems of A.E.
