Organohalides pollutants are ubiquitous in our environment from past industrial and agricultural usage. Organohalides in the environment are often associated with soils and aquatic sediments. The quantity of organohalides in the environment increased with the time due to the quite slow rate of natural dechlorination in soils and sediments. In this studies, a hydrophobic composite electrode with a organometal catalyst was prepared. The electrochemical characteristics of three organohalides were studied by the detection of cyclic voltametry with the cathode of lead electrode and composite electrode. The design of automatic extractive and electrolytic system, and the extractive and electrolytic efficiencies of organohalides in soil were described.
