In the whole process of the feed production, there will be dust in every single procedure and the dust is with significant influence on the air quality in the workplace which also affects the labors’ health. By collecting the statistical data of operational environment monitoring from year of 2007 to 2017 and sampling from five operational areas such as packing area, material area, and material premix area on the 1st floor, and feeding areas of both medical and medical-free treatment on the 4th floor of a company and obtaining the outturn of the feed plant, the study can firstly investigate the relevance between the outturn of feed and the concentration of dust in the air of the operational areas; secondly to analyze the volume of dust exposure potentially suffered from different operational areas and its hazard to labors’ health. With such analysis, reference to the continuous improvement in feed plant’s operational environment can be established for the study. The result of the study shows that there is no relevance between the concentration of dust in the air of the feed plant and the outturn of feed. The total concentration of dust is 0.08~1.68 mg/m3 in the packing area of 1st floor, 0.11~2.77 mg/m3 in the material area of 1st floor, 0.04~5.90 mg/m3 in the material premix area of 1st floor, 0.46~3.35 mg/m3 in the medical-free treatment feeding area of 4th floor, and 0.25~8.58 mg/m3 in the medical treatment feeding area of 4th floor. The most seriously polluted area occurs in the medical treatment feeding area of 4th floor that is with 8.58mg/m3 concentration of dust, and the area contains the lowest concentration of dust is the material premix area of 1st floor, 0.04mg/m3. The overall concentration of dust in the feed plant is in-between 0.04~8.58mg/m3, although the operational environment monitoring results of the feed plant for the study are all within the tolerance concentration of daily average based on eight hours of working, the packing and feeding operation are not defined as long-term operation, and the operation monitoring is conducted by sampling at different areas which explains that there is a close relevance between the location where the sampling devices are installed and the dust they collected. It is suggested to firstly have further research containing evaluation of exposure with short period of time; secondly to analyze whether the average tolerance condensation is reasonable in such short period of time; and lastly to sample by individual in order to have more precise response to the labors’ exposure situation for the relevant study in the future.
