    Title: 幾丁聚醣固化於咖啡渣吸附水中二價銅之研究
    Adsorption of Copper(Ⅱ) Ions from Aqueous Solution by Chitosan-coated coffee waste

    Abstract: 隨著科技日新月異,人類的視野越加廣闊,生活當然也越來越便利,但享受著高科技的同時更必須承擔起科技發達後帶來的負面影響,也就是重金屬造成環境的嚴重汙染,以及對於人體的危害。因此,在現今社會中環境保護已越來越被重視,如何以低成本兼具符合天然的方式去減輕大自然的重金屬汙染,甚至能有效去除,是目前須重視的課題。
    本研究使用了廢棄之咖啡渣進行回收再利用,再搭配幾丁聚醣做成吸附劑,進行重金屬的吸附可行性研究,幾丁聚醣與咖啡渣,結構中都帶有大量的胺基、羥基之官能基,易於與金屬離子形成螯合或離子吸附作用,對於廢水中之重金屬具有強的吸附能力。
    實驗中使用咖啡渣以及添加不同的幾丁聚醣重量配比之咖啡渣進行銅離子的吸附,幾丁聚醣的添加量為1、3、5(g),銅離子的濃度範圍在100-2000mg/L。實驗結果顯示,單純使用咖啡渣吸附銅離子時,吸附效果明顯,但其它三種幾丁聚醣添加與重量配比之吸附劑吸附量更佳。
    套用Langmuir吸附模式,結果顯示R2值均可達0.950以上;而在Freundich 吸附模式中,吸附劑之n值均大於1,顯示出咖啡渣再利用之可行性,添加幾丁聚醣後更能提升吸附量。
    With the rapid development of science and technology, the broader the horizons of human convenience the technology brings. However, technological development bears serious negative impact to the environment and human health by environmental pollution from waste of technology production such as heavy metals. Therefore, in today’s society, environmental researchers have drawn more attention to efficient treatment of heavy metal wastes and with low-cost and natural technology for economic viability. In this study, the adsorption of heavy metal copper ions from waste coffee grounds and chitosan coated waste coffee grounds is investigated. Coffee grounds and chitosan have a large number of amine, hydroxyl functional groups which is easy to form a chelate or ion adsorption with metal ions, and have a strong adsorption capacity in treating heavy metal wastewater. In the experiment, coffee grounds with addition of chitosan at different weights of 1、3&5g are used on the adsorption of copper ions with varying concentration from 100-2000 mg/L. The experimental results show that chitosan added coffee grounds yield higher adsorption capacity than coffee ground alone. The results show R2 values of more than 0.950 and greater 1 n values of adsorbent in the Freundlich adsorption model, showing the feasibility of re-use of coffee grounds, adding chitosan to enhance Adsorption capacity.
