The purpose of this study was to examine the interact relationship on the family travelists’ travel motivation and the factors of travel constrauns, as well as to take the experiences about family travel in hot spring resorts for example. Based on Dann’s push-pull theory of motivation(1977), the paternity tourists’ inner incentives to the spring resorts were comprehended through push motivation, whereas pull motivation was applied to analyze the attractiveness, moreover, the factors of interferences on leisure constraints were discussed by Crawford(1991). According to a questionnaire survey and the data analysis, the findings of the study showed that travel was not merely a unilateral personal desire and demand, also, to the family travelists, the travel destinations played a significant role. Among them, the average factors of the push motivation were, ”they could build a relationship with their family” and the highest motivation was to ”have the same memories with their family; the factors of the pull motivation were “ the fun of enjoying bathing” and “the admiration of the surrounding natural scenery,” which was the highest. The highest affecting factors about travel constrauns were “worrying about the sanitary equipments in the tourism environments” and “worrying about the lacking of the facilities specifically designed for younger children.” Meanwhile, the relationships between push-pull on travel motivation and travel constrauns were on the significant and positive interaction, therefore, it would enhance the family travelists’ travel intention to the hot spring resort by understanding their physical and psychological aspects, reinforcing the positive factors on travel motivation, as well as improving the software and hardware facilities, and reducing the factors of travel constrauns.
