摘要: An automatic fire sprinkler system is an effective fire extinguishing system in the external fire condition. This study analyzed the thermal sensitivity of a sprinkler head with natural convection flow, and evaluated the capacity of equipment. FDS (fire dynamics simulator) was employed to calculate and to simulate the response time index of an automatic fire sprinkler system with various locations that included distance from the fire source (about 1.0, 2.1, 2.3, 2.6 m), and distance below the ceiling (about 10, 20, 30 cm), etc. The results showed a sprinkler head installed at different locations led to various reaction developments. Nevertheless, the speed of the air stream and a heat transfer coefficient changed under fire situation that influenced the action time of an automatic fire sprinkler system. The sprinkler head needed to be set up below the ceiling about 10 cm distance. The simulation information was necessary and useful to the user as accuracy concept in industries or residential areas.
