    摘要: 本研究選用HDPE (High density poly ethylene)、PP(Polypropy lene )、PETG (poly(ethylene terephthalate)-glycol)及PS (Polystyrene)等常用於化粧品的塑膠容器,分別盛裝合成酯、防曬劑、香精、防腐劑等化粧品原料,放置於室溫及45℃下觀察容器的外觀及重量變化。
    由塑膠容器與化粧品原料反應性之初步篩選與測試結果發現,裝有原料的PP瓶及HDPE瓶外觀無明顯變化,但若裝有揮發性的原料其重量會明顯的下降,裝有GTO、IPM、C12-15、OMC、POE及GF等原料的PS瓶,以及裝有OMC、POE及GF等原料的PETG瓶,外觀出現不同程度的霧化、倒塌、變形等反應。在化粧品劑型及原料濃度之影響測試,分別以PS瓶和PETG瓶與原料之溶液和乳霜進行測試,原料經過稀釋後與塑膠容器的反應明顯減弱,但是原料添加在乳霜中,其對塑膠容器的反應比相同濃度之原料溶液的反應明顯。
    實驗觀察結果顯示,測試之原料與塑膠容器作用外觀可能出現霧化、破裂等現象,溫度較高時會加速反應,具有苯環的PS及PETG與芳香酯、芳香醇的反應明顯較其他原料與塑膠容器的反應劇烈,所以選擇PS及PETG等塑膠瓶作為化粧品包裝材料需特別注意。
    The appearance and weight change were observed for commonly used cosmetics packaging materials, such as HDPE (High density poly ethylene), PP (Polypropylene), PETG (Poly (ethylene terephthalate)-glycol) and PS(Polystyrene) filled with synthetic esters, sunscreen , fragrance, preservatives and other cosmetics raw materials respectively at room temperature and 45℃ in this study.
    Both the screening test and the following reactivity test of plastic container with cosmetic raw materials show no observable changes in appearance for PP and HDPE bottles, but the weight for these two bottles were significantly decreased when it is filled of materials with higher volatility. PS bottle filled with GTO、IPM、C12-15、OMC、POE、GF and PETG bottle filled with OMC、 POE、GF became misty, breakage, breakdown or even dissolved. During the testing period in the test of the effect of formulation and cosmetics raw materials concentration on the container, the reactivity of the container was decreased as the concentr- ation of the raw material decrased. However, in formulated lotion with the same concentration of raw material as in the previons test, the reaction of plastic container with filling materials became more obvious.
    In conclusion, plastic package materials may become misty, breakage, breakdown or dissolution depending on the contents in it. The reactions of PS and PETG bottles with aromatic esters or alcohols were most servere among the testing ob and rserved to be in this study. At elevated temperature, the reactions were moreobvions. It is strongly suggested to take rxtra care when PS
    or PETG bottles are chose as cosmetic packaging materials.
