Abstract:	蚩尤在中國神話中被稱為「戰神」，他不但是驍勇善戰的「戰神」，而且還是善製精良武器的「兵器之神」。雖然他與皇帝大對決中，再酌涿鹿一役敗下陣來，但是後世對這位戰敗英雄的崇敬卻有增無減。後來不僅在自然界中，有以蚩尤為名的星宿、雲彩等，當今出土的玉刃器物紋飾，和商周青銅器的饕餮紋，也有不少神話傳說中的蚩尤形貌特徵。一個戰敗的英雄，為何能擁有「戰神」和「兵器之神」的榮銜？為何能成為古代器物紋飾的主要特徵？本文將一一加以探究。
