    Abstract: 本研究係探討中草藥提取原料在化粧品之應用。實驗以台灣原生植物－艾草、金錢薄荷、台灣澤蘭、台灣五葉松與台灣土肉桂、蘄艾為測試對象，以水蒸氣萃取法提取植物精油，再分析其抗菌、抗氧化與抗發炎活性。實驗結果顯示，六種植物精油對於痤瘡桿菌、大腸桿菌、金黃色葡萄球菌、白色念珠菌、皮屑芽孢菌均具有抗菌活性。抗氧化活性部份則以清除DPPH自由基能力、Trolox當量的抗氧化能力與β-胡蘿蔔素漂白法作為精油的抗氧化試驗，結果顯示，以金錢薄荷精油的抗氧化效果較佳，次之為艾草精油。抗發炎活性部份，六種精油在抑制5-脂氧合酶(5
